The truth behind THAT Robert Downey Jr interview

On Wednesday last Cat Malojin were due to have our biggest interview yet – with none other than Hollywood superstar, Robert Downey Jr. Unfortunately, we were scheduled to talk to the man himself straight after Krishnan Guru-Murthy of Channel 4 News, an interview that didn’t end very well, as I’m sure you’ve seen by now. If not here’s the clip.

What you didn’t see was that when Krishnan Guru-Murthy left the interview suite, he left behind him his detailed notes and plans for his interview with Mr. Downey Jr, which we took for ourselves.

Unfortunately for him, it would appear as if he only got approximately halfway through his questions. In the noble interest of clickbait, here are those notes:

We were told that, very graciously, Mr. Downey Jr, had agreed to still push on with our interview, but that we couldn’t ask him about his personal life. We declined this offer, as 100% our questions were about his personal life, and how he’s not as cool now as he was in the nineties.

After this, the producers offered an interview with Jeremy Renner as an alternative, which was the greatest insult of all, because really, who wants to interview that jabroni?  Needless to say, we stormed out of the building in disgust.

As for Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, what’s the official Cat Malojin verdict? Well, as my man Confucius said ‘The hardest thing of all is to search for a black cat in a dark room, especially if there is no cat’ – 8 thumbs up out of 13, on a sliding scale, where 3 thumbs up is the best possible rating, and Root 13 thumbs up is the second lowest.
